Join us for a fun-filled, family-friendly Community Day at Glendale City Centre on Saturday 30th August from 10:00am to 2:00pm, in the under cover market precinct alongside the vibrant Glendale Farmers & Artisans Markets!

This exciting event celebrates our local community with a full line-up of interactive activities, emergency service displays, free entertainment and more.

🚓 Meet Your Local Heroes

Don’t miss the chance to meet the amazing teams who keep our community safe:

  • Police: Meet Sergeant Jim! The newest member of the Lake Macquarie Police District – A specially outfitted Suzuki Jimny, along with your local police team to say hello and answer questions.

  • Fire, Ambulance & SES: Crews will be showcasing their emergency vehicles — perfect for curious minds (and great photo ops!). Did you know the SES was founded in the Hunter Valley and is celebrating 70 years of service?  Check out their article HERE.

    Please Note: All emergency service vehicles in attendance are active and may be required to respond to emergency calls at any time. This means they may experience delays or may need to leave the event unexpectedly. If an emergency vehicle needs to exit the event space, please follow all instructions from event staff.

Thanks to the newly refreshed Hunter Sports Centre, kids can test their skills and have a blast on a FREE gymnastics course – fun, safe and packed with energy!

Keep your eyes peeled for our roaming performers bringing colour and excitement to every corner of the event – think stilt walkers, jugglers and surprises around every turn!
